Zoe - Grown by the Sea

Aloha, my name is Zoe. I’m 31 years old, born in Honolulu, Hawai’i and raised on Maui.

I create to make sense of things. A visual and tangible practice of perseverance, a feat of not only embracing imperfection but celebrating it and finding beauty.

One stitch, seam rip, blurred photograph, warp and weft at a time, my art serves as both a mirror and a map, guiding me into presence and connection. Weather it be sewing, weaving, pattern design or photography, art for me is the process of procuring a deeper understanding of my inner and outer worlds. Creating a bridge between the personal and universal, the you and me.
